JDM Subaru Legacy 2005–2009 Outback Climate Control DIN Dual Double Bezel with Hazard Button

Upgrade your Subaru Legacy or Outback interior with this authentic JDM dual-DIN climate control bezel, complete with hazard switch and stylish silver finish. This bezel allows you to cleanly mount an aftermarket double-DIN head unit while integrating factory-style climate controls — a must-have for any clean JDM interior swap.

Key Features:

  • Genuine JDM Subaru Legacy/Outback center bezel (2005–2009)
  • Dual-DIN opening – perfect for aftermarket touchscreen stereos
  • Integrated manual climate control and hazard button
  • Silver finish – matches OEM JDM interior trim
  • Direct fit for Right-Hand Drive JDM dashboards (modification required for LHD USDM cars)

⚠️ Compatibility Note (USDM Models):

This bezel and integrated manual climate control system were designed for Right-Hand Drive (RHD) JDM vehicles. Installing this in a Left-Hand Drive (LHD) USDM vehicle will require a custom wiring harness or climate control adapter to function properly. Direct plug-and-play is not supported. Professional installation is highly recommended unless you're experienced with automotive electronics and climate system conversions.

🧰 Required Parts & Tools

Parts:
  • JDM dual-DIN bezel with integrated manual climate control and hazard switch
  • i88 adapter harness (for climate control integration)
  • 14-pin stereo adapter (for aftermarket head unit)
  • Optional: i85 harness (for steering wheel controls, OEM navigation, or auxiliary input)
Tools:
  • Trim removal tools
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Soldering iron or wire connectors
  • Electrical tape or heat shrink tubing
  • Wiring diagrams for both JDM and USDM climate control systems

🛠️ Installation Steps

  1. Disconnect the Battery: Always start by disconnecting the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts or accidental airbag deployment.
  2. Remove OEM Bezel and Head Unit: Use trim removal tools to gently pry off the center bezel. Unscrew and unplug your current stereo and climate controls.
  3. Prepare the JDM Bezel: Carefully remove the climate control unit if needed and verify functionality before continuing.
  4. Wiring the Climate Controls: The JDM manual unit uses different wiring than the USDM digital system. Use a pinout diagram and a custom wiring harness or adapter like the i88 harness to connect corresponding functions (fan speed, temperature, etc.).
  5. Hazard Switch Wiring: The hazard button connector differs. You will likely need to re-pin or adapt the plug.
  6. Install the New Stereo (Optional): Mount your double-DIN head unit using a compatible kit. Connect using a Subaru-to-ISO or aftermarket harness.
  7. Test Everything Before Final Assembly: Reconnect the battery. Test climate controls, hazard switch, and stereo. Ensure blower, A/C, and heat respond correctly.
  8. Secure and Reassemble: Once confirmed working, reattach everything and secure the bezel. Foam padding may be used to fill any fitment gaps.
